Yogi Bhajan integrated 3 days of White Tantric Yoga into both the Summer and Winter Solstice and the European Yoga Festival events – the only 3 events where you can experience 3 consecutive days of this deep meditative and transformational practice.

What Is White Tantric Yoga?

White Tantric Yoga® is a powerful meditation practice that clears the subconscious mind, allowing prosperity, success, and happiness to flow freely into your life. It is an ancient and unique yogic science that accelerates your psychological growth by dissolving deep-rooted, subconscious blocks through the direction of a facilitator and the energy of Yogi Bhajan, the Mahan Tantric.

When Yogi Bhajan created the White Tantric Yoga® video series, he gave directions to create 40 seminars to be used over the years. There were 130 tapes made over 15 years. He said they were our greatest asset and gave very specific direction that they could still be used after he left his physical body. White Tantric Yoga® will continue each year under the guidance of appointed facilitators.

All levels of yoga students can participate in White Tantric Yoga®; there are no prerequisites. Beginners as well as more experienced meditators will tune into their internal strength and enjoy a deep and sometimes challenging meditative experience.

White Tantric Yoga® works by focusing the energy of the participants into a resonating pattern that reaches a critical mass strong enough to penetrate and clear blocks that are stuck in the subconscious mind. Just as the energy created by a group of voices may strike the perfect pitch to shatter glass, the exercises and mantras included in White Tantric Yoga® are calibrated to reach the frequency needed to break restrictive psychological forms.

White Tantric Yoga® should not be confused with black or red tantric. Those forms of yoga also transform energy, but in a different way and for different purposes. Black tantric directs the energy to manipulate another human being and red tantric directs the energy solely for sexual purposes.

What to Expect

White Tantric Yoga® is done in pairs as a group meditation. You sit facing a partner and follow instructions for meditation given on video by the Mahan Tantric, Yogi Bhajan.

A representative of the Mahan Tantric will be present to facilitate White Tantric Yoga®. The original facilitators were chosen personally by Yogi Bhajan from members of his staff. Since his passing, the Board Members of Humanology and Health Science, which manages White Tantric Yoga®, have used the profile he created for choosing new facilitators. Currently all White Tantric Yoga® facilitators have studied personally with Yogi Bhajan. The facilitator’s role is one of ensuring that the methodology given by Yogi Bhajan is carried out and helping participants maximize their experience.

Each workshop consists of approximately 6 – 8 kriyas. A kriya is a meditation incorporating:

  • a yoga posture (asana) or hand position (mudra)
  • a breathing technique (pranayama) and/or a mental focus and/or a mantra

Sometimes the kriyas are accompanied by music. These kriyas vary in length up to 62 minutes. There are breaks between each kriya. The environment is peaceful and the atmosphere is friendly, supportive, and uplifting. A vegetarian lunch is provided.

What to Bring and Wear

  • Wear loose, comfortable, white clothing, preferably in natural fibers (they conduct energy and breathe easier).
  • Wear a white cotton head covering that completely covers the head and will stay on securely during exercises with movement.
  • Bring a blanket or sheepskin to sit on and a light blanket to cover yourself with during relaxation periods. A firm cushion to sit on can be helpful for those with tighter hips.

What Not to Bring and Wear

  • This is a scent-free environment. Please be courteous to your neighbors and don’t wear or bring perfumes, essential oils, or sprays.
  • A bag that folds (after you’ve removed your yoga gear) is best. The aisles in between the lines need to stay clear for the monitors, so don’t bring an excess amount of ‘stuff.’
  • Intoxicants of any kind are prohibited.

For more information about the experience or to find out if a single-day course is being held in your area,

Tantric Shelter Entrance Process

The entrance into the Tantric Shelter for the days of White Tantric Yoga® is color-coded. You will be given a color when you receive your badge at Registration. When either your color or your partner’s color is called, you may enter the Tantric Shelter. Multiple space saving is not permitted. You may save a space for you and your partner only. Thank you for your cooperation in making the entrance process for White Tantric Yoga® easy and graceful for everyone.

Praise Guru Ram Das and heal the world.

There was a young child, a boy, an orphan

Became the Guru, Guru Ram Das.

He dreamt a temple on holy waters,

A Golden Temple to heal the world.

There was a humble man, a Sikh, a Yogi

He left it all behind to heed the call,

To spread the Guru’s word, he crossed the ocean,

And with a Master’s touch, he gives to all.

There was a people, they lived in darkness.

There burnt a longing, each to belong.

And from the ashes, there rose a nation,

That lives and prospers in the Guru’s home.

Honored and Praised is Guru Ram Das

The Lord who created You, He alone embellished You.

 Perfect is your Miracle

The Creator Himself has installed You on the Throne

Your Sikhs, and the entire Sangat bow,

And revere you as the Supreme Lord.

 You are Unshakable, Unfathomable,

And Immeasurable.  Your extent is beyond limit.

They who serve You with love

Are carried across the world-ocean by You.

Greed, attachment, lust, anger and ego

These five passions have been beaten and driven out by You.

Honored is Your Place,

True are Your Bounties.

You are Nanak, You are Angad, and you are

Guru Amar Das so do I recognize you.

Seeing the Guru, my soul is sustained.

Heal me, heal me, love me.

Heal me, heal me, love me.

Thou are my Lord forever. Never say never. Love, hugs, kisses for you.

Thy will is supreme too. Thy will is supreme too.

teachings. I cannot even once be a

sacrifice unto Thee. Whatever pleases

Thee is the only good done, O Thou

Eternal and Formless One.

Love, live, and be alive.
Ten bodies, seven chakras, three gunas and tattvas five.
Power, prosperity, and happy will.
Health, happiness, by Thy will, it’s by Thy will.

Meditate to ask Thee, elevate me and stand by me.
Thou art my love, oh Lord, of healing

Love, life and smiling. Love, life and smiling.

Thou is beyond and above me.
I call on Thee and Thou I call:

Never say never…
Forever say ever. Forever say ever.

My soul longs for the Blessed Vision of the Guru.

It cries out like a pied-cuckoo.

My thirst is not quenched, I find no peace, without

The Vision of the Beloved Saint Guru

I am a sacrifice, my soul is a sacrifice unto the vision of the Beloved Saint Guru

Your face is so beautiful, and the sound of Your Words imparts Divine knowledge

It is so long since the sparrowhawk has had a glimpse of water.

Blessed is the land where You love,

Oh my Friend and Intimate Divine Guru.

I am a sacrifice, I am a sacrifice

Unto my Friend and intimate Divine Guru.

When for one moment I could not be with You,

The dark age of Kali Yuga dawned for me.

When shall I meet you, O my Beloved Lord?

I cannot endure the night, and sleep does not come,

Without the sight of the Beloved Guru’s Court

I am a sacrifice unto the True Court of the Beloved Guru.

It is by good fortune that I met the Saintly Guru.

The Immortal Lord, I have found in my home.

I will now ever serve you, and not for even a moment will I ever separate myself from You.

Servant Nanak is your slave, O Beloved Master.

I am a sacrifice, my soul is a sacrifice unto You, O Lord.

Servant Nanak is your slave, O Lord.

I wouldn’t be surprised if a lot of other children slept this way…

With Guru Ram Das to protect them, keep them safe all through the night.

Oh, Dhana Dhana Guru Ram Das Rakho Sarnai.

Meditate on Guru Nanak, may you love God with his clarity.

Meditate on Guru Angad, may devotion fill your heart and set you free.

CHORUS: Guru Ram Das will protect you, keep you safe all through the night. Oh, Dhana Dhana Guru Ram Das Rakho Sarnai.

Meditate on Guru Amar Das, may none leave your house unfulfilled.

Meditate on Guru Ram Das, your prayers will heal the weak and the ill.

Meditate on Guru Arjun, His poem is a jewel beyond all worth.

Meditate on Guru Hargobind, you’ll find God in Heaven and on Earth.

Siri Guru Granth Sahib, may Gurbani be the love of this child’s life.

May it fill their heart with wisdom and courage to bear the tests of the time.
