3HO® Foundation International’s Solstice Sadhana Celebrations wouldn’t happen without Service Exchange participants. The success of the event depends on their dedication and commitment to doing seva (selfless service), one of the most powerful limbs of yoga.

Your Commitment to the Service Exchange Team, 3HO, and the Global Community
- As a Solstice Service Exchange Team member your principal commitment is to make your service area successful.
- As a member of the team, you will serve approximately 6 hours a day in your service area.
- Arrival, departure, and service dates vary depending on the service area.
- You must be available for the entire duration of the service dates.

Cancellations
1. Refunds
- You may receive a refund if you fill out a refund form by November 30th. After this date there will be no refunds.

2. Credits
- You may receive credit towards a future 3HO event if you fill out a Credit form between the dates of December 1st and December 15th.
- Your Credit is valid towards any 3HO event, 1 year from the date of issue. Please allow 2-6 weeks for us to process your credit application.

3. Service Exchange Exceptions
- If you have been offered and have accepted a Service Exchange positions and need to cancel after December 1st, you may receive an refund.
- You must fill out the Refund form on-line before December 16th.
- Any forms sent after the start of the event will be credits only, and no applications will be accepted after the event ends on December 23rd.
Parents:
- May serve on the Solstice Youth Camp Co-op (SYCC) Teams Only
- Other Service Exchange areas are not available unless the other parent is not working a Service Exchange and will be providing care for the child.
- If a guardian (25 and older) other than a parent will be responsible for a child, the child must be registered with the guardian who is providing care and the guardian has the same responsibilities as the parent for SYCC.
- Siblings must be 18 and over in order to provide care for a younger sibling.
- You may not bring your child with you when you are serving unless you are on the SYCC Team.
- Some individuals have served on other teams for many years prior to their having children and they are permitted to continue to serve, however, if you are serving on a team other than SYCC you must fulfill the SYCC responsibilities. Click Here for detailed information.
- If you are serving on a team other than SYCC you must tell your area manager the Tantric Day you are serving at SYCC since you will be unable to serve your team on that day.
Service Exchange Team Members are expected on-site by 6 pm on their team arrival date in order to acclimate and have ample time to set up their personal tents before it gets dark.

Please note that you cannot complete your registration until you’ve received acceptance on a service exchange team and received your code to register. This may take anywhere from 1-2 weeks depending on the team manager.

Description: It isn’t easy being green. Our green team takes the leadership role in educating our community in the consciousness of caring for the planet and mindfulness as to how we can all contribute toward a sustainable lifestyle.The primary work of the area is to collect the waste of the camp and process it as compost, recycling and landfill. Description:The Grounds Service Scholarship team takes care of the basic needs of the camp, cleaning cabins, stocking restrooms with toilet paper, replacing light bulbs, and a number of tasks that fit in the realm of handyman work. Keeping the many showers and toilets clean, presentable, and stocked with supplies is a central part of our job. Working on Grounds means being energetically available and effective at accomplishing the tasks required to set up the camp and to keep the camp moving in a smooth and healthy way. Description: The Luggage Shuttle team has the privilege of welcoming participants to Solstice. Description: If you believe that food is love–in a healthy way, share the love with our entire camp. Have fun blessing and serving and serving and blessing the food. Soldier Saints Needed Serve on the Security TeamDescription: The Security Service Team is responsible for the physical safety and well-being of the participants and the camp.The primary duty of the Security Team is to staff the camp entrance and monitor the flow of traffic, both pedestrian and vehicular, in the camp. Security Team members patrol the entire camp area–specifically the bazaar, venue tents, and camping/cabin areas to hold the space for a peaceful and joyous camp experience. If you are interested in being a member of the Security Team, you can expect to spend a fair amount of time seated at the front gate with a radio at your side. You will be the first person that participants see as they arrive on-site, so the priority is to be friendly and welcoming. Description:To be eligible for this scholarship, we prefer but do not require that you have attended at least one Solstice Sadhana Celebration. Solstice is a family-friendly environment and little people are everywhere. To support the parents, and to give the children an experience of their own identity, we have a variety of programs for children, youth and teens. If you have experience working with these groups and are prepared to serve during the White Tantric Yoga® days, this unique service opportunity is a wonderful option.We also have 2 specified positions within the Children’s Camp Team (for ages 3-11), one for Music Director, and the other for Team Building and Outdoor Activities Director. Description: This is where your cheer-leading experience will serve the Solstice Community! Looking for individuals who are able to share their enthusiasm for service. You’ll be at the Karma Yoga table in the Registration Tent informing people about the Karma yoga area they signed up for, and educating them about the importance of their seva at camp. You will also be signing up those who did not register on-line for their Karma Yoga team. This team also serves the whole registration tent, acting as Registration hospitality. This includes welcoming people to the tent and assisting them with any general questions or needs people have upon arriving to camp. To serve in this area, you need to be able to remain calm during hectic times, be friendly and personable, and learn about the various Karma Yoga teams so you can help guide people into a service that suits them. Description: The Tent Set-Up crew provides an important welcoming presence to Solstice participants. They will help any attendee set up their personal tent. They are also responsible for setting up the 3HO Rental Tents and making sure 3HO tents are accurately and clearly labeled with their tent numbers.
