Tent Camping

Yogi Bhajan recommended camping upon the beautiful land of Guru Ram Das Puri to keep us connected to the Earth and to each other. Shakti Valley provides a wide array of camping sites to choose from. Please bring your own tent and camping gear and see our What to Bring page.

Everyone must camp in Shakti Valley.  If you camp in a different area for Solstice, you must move your tent to Shakti Valley at the beginning of Women’s Camp.

Tenting on the land is part of the IWC experience

On-site Tent Rentals

If you are unable to bring tent gear with you to IWC you may rent a cot in a 2-person tent  for $154 (per cot) for the duration of the event.  Two women will be assigned to one tent. We suggest you reserve early with online registration as space is limited.

Bathing facilities are rustic. Outdoor showers offer an opportunity for experiencing Ishnaan, or cold-water hydrotherapy. That is, there is only cold water for bathing. Portable toilets are available in Shakti Valley, with a few flush toilets a 5-minute walk up the hill.

Off-site Accommodations

If you are unable to camp due to health or other reasons, there are some hotels/inns in Española, about 25 minutes from Guru Ram Das Puri. Visit Española Online for more information about hotel accommodations.

Another option is to rent studios/rooms located in Española near the Hacienda Guru Ram Das Ashram. Visit the Hacienda de Guru Ram Das Ashram for more information.

Keep in mind that you will need to have a vehicle to travel daily between your off-site accommodation and Guru Ram Das Puri.
