Hope & Compassion is a charity that works with other organizations abroad to improve the lives of children with special educational needs, as well as families living in poverty in developing countries. Our sole purpose is to re-ignite the flame of hope and giving. We aim to bring hope and kindness to people in need, through selfless service, compassion and respect for those whose circumstances are such that they have difficulty coping with the simple things in life. Coming together collectively, we are determined to make a difference to the lives of those who are socially disadvantaged, in pain, disabled, or have special educational needs.

Yoga Teachers 4 Africa
http://www.yogateachers4africa.com

Since 2011, Yoga Teachers 4 Africa has been organizing Level I Kundalini Yoga teacher trainings in Burundi and Kenya. These Level I trainings are all taught as seva. In this video, Richard, who received his Level I certificate in Feb 2015 in Kenya, explains what this training brought to him, and what transformational potential there is in bringing Kundalini Yoga to Kenya. With the upcoming elections in Burundi, the political situation is very unstable. Kundalini Yoga has already proven its healing power in this small country suffering from recent wars. A strong Kundalini Yoga sangat exists in Bujumbura. They have weekly meetings and serve in many social projects. Thank you for your support to help us grow and spread the teachings further so they can benefit many more. YT4A is a nonprofit organization based in Belgium with its heart in Africa.

Kundalini Yoga in the Down Community
https://www.facebook.com/sukhmaani.yoga?fref=ts

Lorena Lobato was an extraordinary woman with a profound wish that every person could improve their life quality through Yoga and the Teachings of Yogi Bhajan. She founded Sukhmaani Yoga Studio A.C. in México City. After she died in 2010, the studio fell under the care of her family and other community members who work to keep her legacy alive. Among Lorena's projects was teaching yoga classes to adults with Down Syndrome with workers at Comunidad Down A.C. A group of Kundalini Yoga teachers are willing to take over these classes. The students have expressed their gratitude and enjoyment of learning Kundalini Yoga and improving their quality of life. This is why we are applying to this contest, to give back to Lorena's students the practice of Kundalini Yoga and the benefits of it. And to share with them, one more time, the teaching of Yogi Bhajan.

The Yogi Bhajan Legacy project honors the life and legacy of Yogi Bhajan through a feature length documentary and series. This documentary will serve people coming to know him today and for generations to come. It is designed to provide a deeper experience, the experience of being with the master. This film will touch, in a special way, those who were never blessed to meet Yogi Bhajan in his physical body. It will also be a wonderful experience for those already familiar with Yogi Bhajan, to feel their connection to him, learn more about him, and re-live years of experience dear to their hearts. Above all, it will support his influence to live on for the betterment of humankind.
