IKYTA Teacher Recognition 2012/13

The 3HO International Kundalini Yoga Teachers Association was happy to honor the following Kundalini Yoga Teachers for their great service:

Simran Kaur is a Teacher and Teacher Trainer serving in Germany. She has served the Global Teachers Council (GTC) for four years and is now a Consulting Member. Simran helped to organize the teachers of Germany, creating chapters in eight different cities. There are close to 2,000 Kundalini Yoga Teachers in Germany! She brings a beautiful Aquarian consciousness in all that she does that is inclusive, transparent and distributive. IKYTA thanks her for her continued support and service to the Teachers Conference.

Guru Singh is one of Yogi Bhajan's first students in the United States. He has been teaching for over 40 years. He has travelled and collaborated with different spiritual groups to bring teachings to many countries. He has also helped bring these teachings to Miri Piri Academy, bringing Yogi Bhajan's touch to future generations. His service in teaching and Teacher Training is vast. He has supported the IKYTA Teachers Conference for years and next year he will co-host the day. We deeply honor him for sharing these sacred teachings with so much love and joy.

Sadhana Singh has been working collaboratively with IKYTA for many years. He served to bring the teachers of Italy into "One" National Kundalini Yoga Teachers Association. He has served on the GTC for four years and has been the inspiration for our Teachers Excellence program. He travels all over Europe teaching and training. Sadhana Singh has been serving the Teachers Conference for three years. He will continue serving on the GTC as a consulting member.

Gurubachan Singh serves, serves and serves. In the last 10 years he has made 44 trips to South America with The Lord of Miracles Tour and has brought the love and touch of our beloved Teacher everywhere he goes. He has begun traveling to Europe and Asia. He works with governments, police departments, banks, prisons, homeless shelters and fire fighters throughout Central and South America. He hosts our International Party, welcoming all our Summer Solstice visitors and receiving them as dear family. He has incredible love for our Teacher and these teachings, and is committed to serving all with these teachings.

Updesh Kaur (Gail Dutton) is a teacher in Clearwater, Florida. She helped to bring the first Kundalini Yoga Level 1 KRI Teacher Training to the area. She has worked tirelessly to serve the student and teacher community of Clearwater. She has also served on the Professional Development Teacher Training Team.

Sat Dharam Kaur received many recommendations from her students. She serves in Canada in Teacher Training and Teaching. She is also a naturapathic doctor helping women stay healthy globally. She has done great work serving in the area of addictions. "She is determined to pass on the teachings, yet is graceful while doing it. Her grit comes through in managing many commitments." "She has grit coming out of every pore." "She is consistently loving and sweet while being powerful and strong at the same time." Sat Dharam participates in the Teachers Conference and helps us to continue developing the conference to serve Kundalini Yoga Teachers.

Sat Kartar Kaur has dedicated her life to teaching Kundalini Yoga to people in need. She has taught gang members in the Boston area and she offers a Kundalini Yoga for Youth program in the school systems throughout the Boston area. In her own words, "The truth that rang the truest was that change is only deep and lasting when it occurs through a shift in consciousness. There will always be a social cause and a revolution to fight, so perhaps our energy is best directed to the raising of consciousness universally rather than fighting all these individual wars and issues. It is the Infinite Truth which penetrates to the core of every human or finite issue."

Nam Nidhan Kaur is a Teacher and Teacher Trainer from Santiago, Chile. She has travelled extensively throughout South America, getting Kundalini Yoga started in countries where it hasn't been before. She serves extensively with the Women's Teachings and works with governments in at least two countries sharing these teachings. She was the inspiration behind the Chilean Yoga Festival and has encouraged a newer generation of Teachers to keep it growing. She shares the Teachings with incredible reverence.

IKYTA is inspired by the service of all these Teachers, and all Kundalini Yoga Teachers everywhere! May we all bring these beautiful Teachings to serve the Age of Aquarius.
